    Some of them you will love. Most of those books would be helpful study resources along with Animals Real and Imagined. However once you get into creating professional concept art you can glean a lot from the examples and suggestions in this title. After reading this book, not only will you never think of caribou the same again, you might actually think of them. In order to save their lives, Anthony took them in.

    I commend How to Draw Animals for keeping the process simple yet relatable. Learn how to get genuine smiles and show the true personality of your subject. But the details you do get are phenomenal along with very high quality photos. I used to pore over Denys Ovenden's illustrations of familiar polar bears and black rhinos, and less familiar takahes and nyalas, and wonder whether I could do anything to help. Pet commissions and unique golfing portraits. It also makes you realize just how similar we are.

    And he's such a sweet man. What it turned into was a beautiful and dangerous life journey into the balance of life on earth. I recently covered some creature design books that deal with imaginary drawing. As you can tell this is much more of a woodsy type wildlife book so there is nothing about drawing sea creatures. I always smile, now, when I see a sparrowhawk.
